The Exmouth Antiques and Fleamarkets are held at The Pavillion, situated on the Seafront of this popular resort, which is at the western end of the "Jurassic Coast", recently granted World Heritage Site status. These events were first started in March 2002 and have proved to be a runaway success, filling the hall each time. A variety of wares are on offer at this event, though produce stands are not permitted. Standholders vary from amateurs "just clearing their attics" to professional dealers, many of whom choose these events to clear their old stock at vastly reduced prices. A brief survey of one of the markets found the cheapest items on offer to be a selection of 45rpm records at just 2p each, whilst the most expensive was a Ming Ewer circa 1400, priced £2000! The Pavillion boasts a range of facilities, including easy access and toilets for the disabled. A cafeteria serves snacks and full breakfast from 9am and a full luncheon menu, with vegetarian options, from mid-day. There is also a licensed bar.
